Multi-core cord preparation and rotary crimping introduced to shorten changeover on mixed appliance harness orders.
Challenge
Orders mixed several wire gauges and terminal families, and tooling changes between jobs were limiting daily output.
Configuration
The line was rebuilt around an RH-CS260 for multi-core and flat cord preparation and an RH-CP4S rotary press carrying four applicators, so terminal changeover became a head rotation.
Result
Changeover time between terminal families is reduced and outer jacket stripping is programmed rather than set by hand.
